The Collector’s office:
- Handles merchants licenses ($25 annual fee)
- Auctioneers licenses (cost dependant on length of license)
- Collects personal and real estate taxes as assessed by the County Assessor
- Collects all state-assessed taxes, such as:Utilities
Railroads
Conservation - Participates in bankruptcy filings
- Handles local and state protested tax cases
- Handles tax sales
- Works closely in information gathering with mortgage companies, bankers and realtors.
